ADVANCED PLACEMENT
Advanced Placement provides students a college-level course for high school credit. Students earn college credit after taking and passing the AP final exam that is offered in May each year.
The final exam is graded on a scale of 1-5. Typically, students will need to receive a score of 3 or higher to receive college credit for the class. Receiving a failing score on an AP final exam will not affect a student's college transcript. Students are not required to take the AP final exam. There is a fee required for students to take an AP final exam. |
Utah colleges and universities will accept both concurrent enrollment and advanced placement credit.
However, some credits might transfer differently depending on which college/university it is.
